Created by İpek Sakız as a collaborative exploration of narrative, illustration, and animation, this project investigates how a completed illustrated storybook can be transformed into a time-based animated short. For Sónar+D, the project developed a hybrid workflow that combines AI-assisted motion generation with deliberate visual communication design choices, bringing the static pages to life.

Early storyboard sketches guided the planning of narrative beats, pacing, and emotional flow, laying the foundation for final illustrations and animation sequences. By integrating AI-driven motion with human-directed storytelling, the project transforms the book into an immersive audiovisual experience, where each frame reflects both algorithmic interpretation and artistic intention.

The installation operates as an interconnected system: story, illustration, AI, animation, and temporal structure interact seamlessly, ensuring that no single element dominates. Viewers experience a dynamic reimagining of the original narrative, where the interplay between human creativity and computational tools generates a living, evolving story.
